1989 Personal mixtape from Prague

I went to Prague a few weekends ago and found a few hilarious cassettes in the flea market. Most of them were so horribly bad that they didn't meet the admittedly low standards of this blog. But I found this one at least mildly amusing. Unfortunately, the quality of the cassette was so poor that I couldn't record and post. Instead, I have done you the favor of finding good quality versions of some of the lesser known songs. Should be popular with fans of SAW (Stock Aitken and Waterman) songwriting. Most of the rest of the songs are surely part of your personal library already.

Woah! Cool blog, just stumbled across it... Some extra info for you: C+M Connection is also by the guys from altern 8 (C + M = C(hris Peat) and M(ark archer) ;-) ). Also xon is by one half of techno godfathers Cabaret Voltaire. See, Discogs is cool but being a record nerd from this era is also useful! :-)

I take it when you say "incredible" you don't mean "awesome", as in "awesome tapes from africa" (and they are awesome) :)

I've been to Chechoslovakia in 1989 and they were still listening to Omega. This is fake.

it's incredible, but it's true. I have friends in Czech republic and they say you can find mmany unexpected things in Prague, because it's magical city

Hey Dalston brother, have you heard Sylvia's version of 'Automatic Lover' from 1978?

I like it so much better than Dee D. Jackson's. While that is good, the faux-vocoder and Sylvia's high voice are too delicious.

(and btw it's Sylvia Robinson who later founded Sugarhill Records)

p.s. I love your site...
